"Do not just say, let's express attitudes"

 

When I was a student I worked as a waiter at the Italian pizza restaurant. During those days, I learned a lot about how to deal with customers, especially say thanks. Guests paid, I took the money with both hands, looked into their eyes and said “thank you". Guests left, I opened the door, bowed my head slightly and said "thank you". Once time, saw guests stood up to leave, I just moved the desk as inertia while told "Thanks. See you again!". Just then the restaurant owner saw it. In the end of afternoon shift, he called all the staff and reminded: "When thanking someone, stop doing everything, placing the emphasis on the words, if not, don’t say anything". After that day, I was punished to stand in the gates to greet the customers for a week. The first time, I learned to show respect and wholeheartedly to the words "thank you".

Since then, every time someone said thank, congratulations or appreciation for me, I always stopped everything I was doing, made eye contact with them to express that, I noted their appreciation by all my respect. As a habit, so every time I see someone said thank you to me, but looked on screen, hands scrambled to find something, it made me frown, and my heart felt down. If this thanks was let go as a procedure, don't ask why they were responded with tepid attitude.

After a long time, I forgot about the past lessons and occasionally got rebuked for apathy in my speech. Yesterday, while I was downstairs, I looked to the room to greet my boss, "Bye sister. Wish you happy evening! ".Looking at my attitude when I said, laughing, while my legs were quickly stepping, she was straight face and immediately reminded "I' working, not playing anything to be happy. Wish again!" I was freaked out, adjust the words "Yes, you stay to finish work and should leave early. Be careful on the evening road! ". "Ok, at least it is supposed to be like that. Next time say something stupid, be careful for your soul ". After leaving, I laughed and ruminated, so there are many people have the same point of views with my serious pre-boss.

It's easy to understand the meaning of words of thanks, congratulations ... but few people know that showing a sincere attitude, like present 100% when say these things, will make them valuable so much.
