How hard is being a boss – P1

871 - 30.09.2016

Once you had chosen being a boss, then you had chosen the harder part ....

Morning, while I was lounging looking to the sky, did not know today I will tell what  story, from the opposite table, a colleagues shouted, calling my name: "Bella, I have something to tell you, you can write it."

I asked what this meant. She said that: "The evening before I flew to Danang to visit family, Ms Sherry messaged, said the she forgot to give me the body sunscreen bottles. Ms Sherry asked me if my flight was early to bring it to me. I heard that felt very touched... "

My colleagues went  home this time to visited the house, and to go to Buddhist work  at the pagoda, seemed like she would trott out under the sun. Hearing that, boss worried so enthusiastically, so that she gave her a hat, a suntan lotion to her. I listened and also wondered, what had made my boss thoughtful much? Is it because she spent much emotion for that colleague or that originally is the way she treated to staff?

I answered each question.

Is that a special treatment? No, certainly not. Cause I'd seen her bend over to pick up items that employee accidentally dropped. I'd also seen her drove to pick up a colleague to go eating. And I'd seen she went looking to buy a gift that a colleague likes so much. Because she was like that to everyone, so I did not think it's something special for someone.

Therefore, the answer could only be: that's how she choose to treat us.

At this point, I could not imagine how much she had to worry every day. And that, perhaps is also the hidden corners that the other leader is quietly face every day.

Once you have chosen being a boss, then you have chosen the harder part. I think so.

If in the lives of your employees, has only a few people to worry: parents, spouses, children ... I call it the family. So with you, your family must have been very crowded. But the more it is crowded, the more you have to worry.

And if at work, employees only needed to do better, to do thier part is enough. Then if you are the boss, you are the one who has to do almost everything. Who concern the plan? Who make up culture? And who bear the ultimate responsibility? It is you.

Such strenuous, but it is almost the only one option for you. Because there is one truth:

Not enough love, no one will want to stick with you.

Not enough worry, no one will want to do their best for the company.

Being the boss is struggling. It's true. Though sometimes no one see, no one recognize that struggles, you must also accept ...

So, I still think the first thing we should ask before being a boss: it is not about how much power you will get, it is how much we can be strong to overcome those things?

P/s: This is the message of boss and the colleague I had told about.
