How good boss is to let employees respect them?

652 - 30.09.2016

We, if one had beem a boss or leader, they will understand how big the desire to be admired is. I am sure of this, because I've experienced times like that. But that is no big deal, just as the leader of the university discussion group only.

Yet, the little job always gave me a headache. Many times I was upset because nobody listened. Or sometimes they heard, but detracted many things. I do not really remember what those sentences were, just remember only one sentence: "She's nothing that requires our respect."

Well, at that time, I really had nothing. So, from then on, I started shaping in my mind: If I want others to respect I must have something. I brings that thought even to the workplace. If the boss wants me to respect them, let me see achievement or interesting ideas.

But, the truth, when boss tells of their glorious career, I would not want to hear. Because they really lack humility.

Or when the boss chatters about the huge contract, I do not want to pay attention. Because they're so pretentious.

And I realized, believing in the merits and respecting, don’t involve each other at all.

Want others to respect, then let them believe in your personality. This is my new viewpoint, when I happened to meet a boss like that, my boss now.

I don’t know what she used to be. I just know when she want to grab a glass of water, or pick up a pen, she do it herself without asking anyone to do it.

I also do not know how much power she have. I just know, in the party, she always gives a hand; having fun, she laughs unstoppable.

And I even do not know how much money she earns a month. I just know, when staff has problem, she calls them across the room, leaning on their hand an envelope enclosed with good wishes.

Therefore, I respect her. Not because I see her standing in a higher position than me, but because I see she is equally inclusive with us, as friends.

For me, not just she, the leader is trying to do a great job every day, are the true leader.

P/s: small white hand having ring was the hand of the leader of  Saxa :) (photo taking while "rock paper scissors" to divide the football team)
