(Saxagifts.com) - Apathetical, it is not because you work in this building, I work on that building, or because we are too busy that don’t have time to talk.
- I’m dispirited, Jasmine. I want to give up!
I was startled when the sound of Sally came out from the blanket. These days, I saw her when to bed whenever the lunch time came. Because of thinking that she was tired, I just kept quiet and surfed Facebook. Therefore, when she said that, I vaguely remembered the unusual lately:
- What happened?
- My media project should have been run from early September but because I haven’t done it so now it is still on the paper. Meanwhile, Erick had done the logo, layout website, video for the handbill. Moreover, the marketing part is also ready for supporting. Everybody is waiting for me. I’m so bad that affect to everyone, aren’t I?
As I guess, she is hiding her sighs and tears inside her words
That afternoon, I couldn’t stop thinking about Sally’s story. Sometimes, I looked toward her, remembered about the brainstorm topic last Saturday. That day, we sat together and faced with the topic: “Over the past time, who did you love and who did you neglect?” And I suddenly realized that I did neglect Sally so much.
Sally joined our company for 4 months and we ate together in one table, laid side by side in the rest time for the 4 months too, I often told her some secret stories of mine and thought that we were close enough. It was not only once I saw her hiding her tears and stayed in the company till 7 or 8p.m to finish the works… But I didn’t care enough to understand her difficulties and give motivation to her.
Apathetical, it is not because you work in this building, I work on that building, or because we are too busy that don’t have time to talk. The apathetical is not measured by the geographical distance but the people’s hearts. Sally and I, sitting on the opposite locations, seem to be close but actually not. And as the teammates, if we separated ourselves like that, how can we be a cohesive collective, how can we walk together for a long way? Thinking about it, I texted for Sally immediately to make our distances shorter by caring, sharing, encouraging timely.

- Are you ok today?
