We decide that Saxa will have to be a company knows how to bring happiness to customers. So, together we are building the company’s strong and kind culture values to first make every Saxa people happy. The forgot thanks

“Last Saturday, we had a very emotional Thanks saying day, but we forgot to thank a person. Today, we need to fix it.”

Who’s that? On the day, I remember everyone got Thanks from others. At least, I got two. Jenny got the most, 6. Erick continued:

“That’s the one without her, we cannot stand here and grow up that much. Our boss!”

We were a bit surprised, looked at each other to confirm that nobody would forget. But we did. 
Actually, I do not think saying Thanks to her is that much important, because everybody knows how much each of us love and respect her. However, in a leader position, would she love to receive the warm sayings?

I used to help and work with a trainee when she was in her internship at my former company. 
She researched employees’ psychology during recruitment, I wrote report. I did not help much except for making a total employee list, giving her old newspaper, going with her to interview in factory or letting her join in a new employee training. Every time I looked at her happy eyes when she worked in real situations or met an interesting statistic, I was happy too.

On her first page of internship report, my name appeared with a sincere thanks from her. Even though it was just a small thing, it was big enough for me to be proud that my effort has been meaningful to others. I did not expect that, but actually, it made my day.

The days at Saxa, for me my boss is not only an instructor at work, but also an educator in life whenever she tried to help me fix my superficial and stubborn attitude. Why could I miss a chance to say Thank You to her on that important day?

When I received Thanks from my colleagues, more than a compliment, it made me feel so proud as I was recognized and energized to try more. It was for me. For my leaders, who have to lead a group of different people, how much strength do they need to have? 

Maybe, when choosing to be a leader, they also choose to stand behind everyone else’s success without expecting a medal or prize. The best award is looking at the full-grown people they have helped to be and the good value they have built up. So sometimes, we consider that big help so obvious and forget how an on-time Thank can bring strength to them.

Now I know how heartless I was on that day. When my leader received tight hugs and thanks from us, I could see her eyes were more twinkle than other days.

P.s. If you have a chance, let say Thank You to your leaders. If you feel a bit shy saying it, just 
write a letter or a card. This would make them surprised for a while and then definitely make 
their day.
