The Grateful Day

 

 

... This is the handmade gift that we made for our three leaders at Saxa, on Vietnamese Teacher’s Day. And few more small things that we have been preparing secretly for a week. We just want to make them surprised till the last minute because there is no better occasion than it to show our respect and gratefulness towards our “teachers”. They have been teaching us three most important things in life:

Love for work. That was when she still came to office even when she just got an accident and dozen of stitches. She had stayed at home for two days and felt worried because she knew sales executives could not handle everything without her. So if she could not walk, she would crawl. If she could not crawl, she would have someone helped. She made us know that, just when love for work is enough, you may dare to sacrifice and pass your limit by the strength of mind.

Love for people. That was a sunny noon on Sunday, the leader went to the hospital where a younger teammate was so busy taking care of her mother, just to give her a bowl of small rib noodle with a peach tea cup that the one loves so much. Because she had heard about her teammate had been sleeping at the hospital for few nights, and spent days running outside for sales work. No need to talk much, we all learn that every care, even it is small, could make the little girl’s weekend a lot easier and stronger. There is no sweeter way than that.

Love ourselves. That was a morning, I came to office and saw a Vitamin C box with a note “We highly esteem our health”. At the period, there were two staff had the symptoms of flu. Looking around and I found out that in every table, there was a gift set like this. Those notes have been written by hands with her typical TV smiling emoji belonged to “someone everyone knows”. Only when she is responsible enough for herself, she could have that caring and dedication about everything happened around.

These lessons are not written on blackboard or in any document. They are just being showed day by day by our sincere, persistent and devoted leaders.

The 20th November, we usually call that day “The Grateful Day” for all our teachers and of course, the leaders. Choosing to be a leader means that they choose to raise the kindest and the most beautiful seeds in their staff. Also, this is a people raising journey with lots of tough time on the road.

On the special day, wish all the love and pride come back to teachers and leaders out there, entirely.
