The secret of writing articles that touch to the heart of reader

 

I always thought that, writing was the work that I did the best, in the most natural way, the reasons came from the subject that I studied mostly in high school – literature, to the major in university – journalism, and after graduated, I had 5 years experiences of working as a professional journalist. I was absolutely believed in my choice on the way I was going as well as my ability. But I was wrong. Writing had never be the work that I did best. I recognized that right when I worked in Saxa for 3 days.

When I got the task about telling “Story at Saxa”, I thought it was very easy to tell a story that happened ahead, full of data, and no complex information. But I had to fight every day to write.

One day, I chose to tell the story about Sarah who hold carton to cover the saddle for whole company. Other day, I wanted to tell you about the happiness of everybody when they secretly prepared birthday party for Hanah, or the story about the cleaning day on weekend. .. All the stories were just small pieces, and very normal, about people that knew each other. But I had to fumble for 4 hours a day with those stories, sometimes a whole day for a tiny story, and finally rejected by boss.

She said: “We don’t need to make the story seem good, just truly is enough. After those simple things, you didn’t recognize their thought hidden behind their stories. Everything had its reasons. How can you see it if you’re just looking without feeling? I silently bowed. Since I knew that I was not deep enough to see the sacrifice of Sarah - a sister and leader of us, worries for us from the most trifles. If more subtle, I would have felt the love of people for Hanah when they prepared a warm birthday party as her wishes, or understood the linkages of the members here through cleanup day as a family.

There are the obvious that a tepid eyes or icy pen only touches the outer shell, but the heart that loved will experience deeply inside to find the real happiness and worries. Now I know, it is not because of my bad writing skills, but it is because Would my heart that be warm enough to vibrate the love behind what's going on here or not. Storytelling at Saxa is not difficult but actually incredible hard.
