(Saxagifts.com) - Until now, I still clearly remember the reason I left the workplace before. Not because of wages, nor by friction. It's just that I did not see my own future.
Until now, I still clearly remember the reason I left the workplace before. Not because of wages, nor by friction. It's just that I did not see my own future.
The boss told me to write a program today, I write. The boss told me to think the idea today, I think. Just like that for months, sometimes I really wondered, tomorrow, next month, or next year, would I know what will I do or what I do for or not. I asked boss, boss said just doing the work well, the rest left for boss. The answer did not make me feel secure, so I resigned.
There are many cases that I've seen, the boss, they operated the company as playing a chess game. In which employees were pawns, boss told to go ahead then go ahead, told to step back then step back.
Could the chess pieces know why it was there? No.
Could the chess pieces know which direction it would go? No.
Because inherently, people always think it is chess game of their own. WWhen they won, they enjoy it. If they lose, they bear it. Therefore, these pieces are just tools, completely passive.
Those rigid ways, I think that should not exist. Because:
First, only one hand cannot build a castle, and only one wisdom cannot run every corner of the company. The boss need staff to continue with him, but do not need employees to perform for boss’s work.
Second, passive pawns always step the right number as the rule. As well as the passive employees, boss will never see how strong their resilience is. And once the individual is not groundbreaking, it is obviously, the company still cannot break through.
So, I thought, the power of the boss is never to control others. It lies in giving others the right to decide what to do and how to do. If you give employees autonomy, they will definitely give you accountability, no need to remind nor to follow, they can still make it big.
P/s: On the interview at Saxa, I had expressed with the boss now these points of view. And this is how she applies to me: assigning shortly, not ask, not watch, I am free to do as long as satisfactory. This is a picture I took on the minutes I was astonished to received tasks, and seem there has a mountain of work is waiting for me.
